Adhesive Vinyl Letters, they are everywhere you look. They are the sale signs on retail shops, they are the phone numbers on passing cars, and they are the quotes on the walls of art galleries. These little appreciated pieces are adhesive vinyl letters, and they pack a punch far greater than their size and cost.
We have all seen it: you walk up to a store and they have a hand written sign saying “SALE” hanging in the window. It’s small; it blocks the view of the products behind it. It’s unprofessional. It makes the items behind it somehow devalued.
Now imagine you walk up to the same store and their front window says “SALE” in large letters on the window. These letters are in a color and font that complements the merchandising behind it, which is easily seen above, below and between the lettering. The sale can be on the Women’s Spring Line, which colors include vibrant yellows and blues; the lettering can be done in a calligraphy font in white, reminiscent of doilies and lace and everything delicate and feminine. Your sale signage can be an integral part of your merchandising display instead of an eye sore and oddity within the scope of the scenes you are creating and launching around your product line. Think of it as an extension of your branding.
Maybe you don’t have a sale but have a quote that sets the mood of your display. You could be selling a fall line of clothing which is water repellent and would drop in the summer. Just maybe, if your store is in the Bay Area and it is summer, with a water repellent fall line coming out, an often used and mis-guided Twain quote would help facilitate the atmosphere necessary to sell coats in the summer. Above your trench coat display it would read in simple, stylized black lettering, “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.”
Adhesive vinyl lettering needs can be even simpler than bold, unique, memorable signage. Some companies simply need phone numbers and addresses prominently displayed on store doors, company vehicles and pre-existing, unused potential sign space such as wide beams or small window space above a store. Adhesive vinyl lettering is easier to install and less expensive than a full vehicle wrap or wall graphic. Adhesive vinyl lettering can also be installed by a careful buyers or an installer can be provided by the local printing company manufacturing the adhesive vinyl letters.
The sky is the limit in regards to where adhesive vinyl lettering can be installed and in what way it can be used. The colors, the font, the vinyl itself can all be changed. It can be laminated to be textured, either rough or smooth; it can be glossy or matte. It can be any size, any font, and put on almost any surface. Adhesive vinyl lettering is easy to remove and will not damage most surfaces making it the perfect choice for any non-permanent display.
